What is a typical day like for residents in assisted living at Hamlet? It changes each day and is unique to each resident! Assisted living residents at The Atrium, Hamlet’s assisted living neighborhood, can choose the personalized routine that works best for them. There are plenty of choices when it comes to how to spend time at Hamlet – a typical day for our residents may look something like this:
Wake Up
Residents are able to get up at their leisure and begin their day with any help they need getting ready. Then it’s time to either to join other residents for coffee and breakfast or go through the morning routine in the serenity of their private apartment. Most residents enjoy chatting with friends and planning the days’ activities.
Morning
It feels great to start the day with some physical activity! Residents are free to take advantage of our beautiful walking paths or join a fitness class. Another option is to take Hamlet’s scheduled transportation for shopping trips or other errands – without having to worry about driving and parking.
Lunchtime
After the morning activities, residents often work up an appetite – and Hamlet’s gourmet lunch menu is a convenient and delicious way to fuel up for the rest of the day. Residents can meet friends for a nutritious midday meal, relax in their favorite gathering spaces or recharge in their apartment.
Afternoon
Spend time reading by our beautiful stone fireplace or take part in any number of activities – from exercise class and arts and crafts to social hours and group outings. And everything is happening right outside your door!
Evening
Residents enjoy a chef-prepared dinner with the freshest ingredients while taking in beautiful sunset views and lively conversations with friends. Whether you munch on popcorn while watching a movie or play a game with a glass of wine, there’s no shortage of fun and entertainment at Hamlet.
Bedtime
If needed, our staff is available to help assisted living residents with showering, evening medications and other overnight arrangements. Through the many opportunities for enrichment and engagement available at Hamlet, residents can go to sleep each night feeling relaxed and fulfilled.
